Chris is a native of Jackson, Mississippi where he has practiced as a lawyer since 2006. He is a graduate of Tougaloo College and Howard University School of Law. As a Congressional aide to his home district, he gained a unique perspective and appreciation for the legal issues that affect the residents and employees of his community.

Before opening Espy Law, Chris previously worked as an attorney for the largest defense firm in the State of Mississippi and the largest plaintiff law firm in the country where he gained invaluable experience handling a variety of personal injury and employment cases. He has personally handled hundreds of single-plaintiff and complex collective action employment cases. He also has significant experience advising small businesses and local governments on litigation and employment matters.

As a solo practitioner, Chris continues to focus his efforts on protecting the rights of hardworking employees against workplace violations and assisting the injured. He is admitted to practice in the State of Mississippi, the District of Columbia, and in the Federal District courts of Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas.

Chris currently serves as the Municipal Judge for the City of Yazoo City. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, the Magnolia Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the National Employment Lawyers Association. He is the former Board Chair of Make-A-Wish Mississippi. He also serves on the Advisory Committee for Leadership Mississippi.
